“When you make a mistake, there are only three things you should ever do about it: admit it, learn from it, and don’t repeat it.” – Paul Bear Bryant
A web designer is someone who have both creative and technically tending, and uses both these attributes to build or design websites. They encompasses a number of important elements including color, layout, content, and overall graphical appearance.
Web designers do mistakes for a lot of reasons. But the biggest challenge is probably that there are so many ways to approach a problem. There are top 10 mistakes normally web designers do in website:-
Unorganised Content Layout: This is a main element of web design. Web designers are failing to make good interface design with tones of images, text, and other things.
They features a variety of typefaces, images, color palettes and themes, none which relate to each other. They can easily fall into this trap when they like too many design templates and want to use them all.
So, web designers have to make their web design readability and under-stable to the visitors.
Inconsistent Interface Design: Exorbitant! Some designers take it to another level when creating websites by creating different designs for every web page within a website.
This is annoying for visitors. No matter how outstanding and attractive a website is, if the overall look and feel is not consistent, users cannot relate to it and feel less in control.
Tiny Text: The main problem here is that some web designers forget about the importance of their font altogether and thus just go with whatever default is.
So, the web designer’s have to design their website for users to feel that your site is joy to read, filled with modern style and appearance of printed matter.
Poor Kerning, Tracking and Leading: Kerning refers to the adjustment of the spacing between two characters [ numbers, letters or symbols].
Web designers are probably making details seem pretty insignificant on their own. That they make clarity difficult or impossible. The closer together these are, the harder it is for your website visitors to read and understand what you’re trying to say.
Using conflicting fonts: Web designers are using two or three fonts is a bad idea if the fonts you choose conflict with each other. Conflicting fonts fight for visitor’s attention, taking the focus away from the important parts of your message. So prefer the suitable font
Ugly or Irrelevant Images: Photos and graphics are also an integral part of web design. Images can convey complex thoughts quickly without having to physically read text.
Web designers are using irrelevant images or low-quality images . That aren’t of the highest quality will botch the website and turn off visitors.
So, make sure that add relevant images for your readers, make them wonder what you’re trying to convey.
Lack of Contact Info: Uncommonly, a lack of contact information is another common mistake done by web designers. The moment visitors decide to make a purchase or use your services is crucial.
So, you should provide your “Contact Us” page should always be just one click away, or your information should be at the bottom of every page.
Poor grammar: We all struggle with grammar mistakes from time to time. That’s understandable and something most website visitors are willing to forgive.
So, they have to make a pretty terrible first impression and it costs money.
Unprincipled use of images/animations: Wed designers using too much images and animations on a webpage is a huge turn off.Images can be used to capture user’s attention but it can be a distraction or just open provoke.
Animations are awesome and powerful medium but when it used properly. When it’s a cycle or just too much on a web page, it gets on the visitors’ patience and time.
Images and animations should be used to illustrate and guide the visitors where appropriate.
Ads in all the wrong places: Advertising is a necessary evil in the web design world- especially on blogs, where it is noticed as one of the main source of income.
Web designers are placing too many noisy and flashy ads in wrong places in website.this will frustrate your visitors.
So, always keep your target audience and brand image in mind in every step of the design process.
